I Missed You Blogger Baby!

Where have I been? Could I have been so busy that I couldn't write in my blog since September 9? Well, yes. I was very busy. But having a blast. I finished the holiday issue of Cats & Dogs of Charlotte magazine and hopefully we'll go to the printer Monday night. Still looking for an investor or publisher, if anyone other my mother and Emily are reading this! The magazine is just amazing. This 3rd issue is stunning. But you'll be able to see it soon.

Went to "Paws for the Cause" last Sunday at Canine Cafe Charlotte. The owners, Barbara and Meredith, had a fundraiser for breast cancer awareness. They had all kinds of events going on. I'm putting up some photos of the fashion show.

It's interesting how the weather turned in September. I don't remember this from last year but I sure love it.

I also finally checked out Soultry Tuesdays at the Wine Up in NoDa which is a poetry/spoken word evening. Just my luck they were doing "Erotica Night" so needless to say I didn't last very long. And to add insult to injury (being single and all) they were selling sex toys, which I ignored. I think that would absolutely have marked me as manless and pitiful. It was still fun, although the crowd was very young. I'll definitely go back. Maybe read a poem if I can get my chutzpah level up.

Luckily, the lovefest continues between the kitten and my older cat. (You know I wasn't going to blog out without mentioning my "sons").

Lastly, being in NoDa a lot you get to see some strange things. I was walking down North Davidson and came across the white car. It was kind of scary and kind of fascinating at the same time. Would I ever have the nerve to drive something like that? NEVER, is the answer. But God bless the kid who came up with the idea to plaster up his car.

And really lastly, Happy Jewish New Year to everyone. Hope you have a wonderful year with many, many blessings.

Tomorrow's a new day. Tomorrow will bring new adventures to share with you. Everyday is a blessing, everyday I will try to visualize peace, not only for myself but for everyone I love, and those living in turmoil.

Where are all the men?

Finally, finally, finally, done with the holiday issue of Cats & Dogs of Charlotte magazine! I had a meeting with the designer, Allison Hertzler, on Friday and handed over most of the material. I still have a few straggler ads coming in, but we're on our way. We also did one final photo shoot yesterday with Leonard Wheeler and his family. Leonard is an ex-NFL player who finished up the last two years of his NFL career with the Carolina Panthers. He is a motivational speaker, among other things. This issue is going to be the best yet!!! I’ve got some great articles, photo essays and some of the ads are just gorgeous. I couldn't be happier.

Okay - so where are all the eligible men in Charlotte? Michelle and I went out Friday night to Uptown. It was pretty dead and the men were, as she calls them, babies. In the chronological sense. Young!! Then last night I went out with Terry, and we sure had a good time, but once again, men? Are there no free men in Charlotte? And Mom, I know you and Emily are the only ones reading my blog, so don't be alarmed. Yes, we are trolling (is that the word?) the streets looking for men, but if we meet someone, they have to pass the girlfriend test. Who is he? What does he do? Is he married? And besides, there's no one to meet anyway, so don't worry.

I have found that at this point in my life, even though I would love to be in a relationship, it's the furthest thing on my list of priorities. I know I'll meet the right person at some point in my life. In the meantime, I'm so busy and fulfilled.

Tomorrow's a new day. Tomorrow will bring new adventures to share with you. Everyday is a blessing, everyday I will try to visualize peace, not only for myself but for everyone I love, and those living in turmoil.
