Commerce Connections was a Big Success

I had my first networking event which I coined Commerce Connections on Thursday. I was a little nervous about it. I had spent the morning dealing with the tom cat and I just didn't know if people were going to show up or not. Charlotte is very similar to Los Angeles. People say they're going to attend an event because it's easier to be nice and say yes. I had wanted to be at Phil and Tony's early to set up but I was running a little behind. Thankfully I got there in time to set up and begin to greet people. We had a terrific showing and it was fantastic to see people I knew networking with each other. I had 3 tables as you came in and people were able to put their business cards on the table or any kind of hand out they had. That way, even if you didn't get a chance to meet everyone, you could leave with business cards. I also had my media portfolio on the table and I was promoting my marketing company, Abrams Media Group, Inc. and also the identity theft protection and Pre-Paid Legal.

All in all, a very good night! (FYI, I did two posts tonight, so don't forget to take a look at the one before this which relays the stalking and capturing of the wild tom cat, Tom.)
