St. Patty's Day, or Men in Skirts, Blog 1 of 4
I'm just going to post a bunch of photos. I'll let the visuals do the talking, but the basic idea is that my friend Terry and I took Miles, her Blue Tic Hound, to the St. Patty's Day parade on Saturday and we participated in a section of the parade that was promoting Bark In the Park. Bark in the Park is the annual doggie fest held by Mecklenburg County's Parks & Rec. They'll be celebrating a new doggie park at R.J. Davie Park this year and the date is April 28th.
They're always looking for volunteers, so if you're interested contact Lori Saylor at 704-336-5478, or lori.saylor@mecklenburgcountync.gov.
I'm apologizing right now for how I looked. It was VERY, VERY cold out so I put the Bark in the Park t-shirt over my velour sweatshirt and I look like a fat cow. I really don't look that bad in person, believe me! And no, I'm not Irish, but my cat, Timmy Abrams is, so I felt perfectly fine marching in the parade.
To all my readers (Mom and Emily), please spread the message of love and peace in your every day conduct. I will try and do the same.

AWWW! Miles has such a happy smile - specially when he's wearing the colors of the irish! SOO much fun, and so many beautiful dogs, but cold as @#$% out!!! Worth it. totally.
