Pre-Birthday Celebration
First of all, sorry about the blue photos in the first blog. I don't know why it did it and what to do about it, but it seems that this next batch are okay. Customer service has been of no help. Oh well.
So - pre-birthday celebration. #1 - I hate birthdays. #2 - This is a big one. Like, a seriously big one. So, of course, I hate it even more. And #3 - I never bring attention to myself. I'm a true behind the scenes kind of gal. To my surprise, last night at Dog Bar, after some minimal gallery crawl, Terry and Nina surprised me with a birthday cake! I was so surprised, and so embarrassed, that my face turned beet red and the only thing I could think to do was to take some photos... I am a weirdo. But in the end, I allowed myself to enjoy the evening, and soak up some attention and even pat myself on the back for surviving umpteen years in pretty good shape and much anticipation to the next stages of my life, which I hope continue to be as fulfilling as the last year.
Well, I guess that's about all I have to say. Hopefully I'll have more birthday stories on Tuesday, my actual birthday!
Tomorrow's a new day. Tomorrow will bring new adventures to share with you. Everyday is a blessing, everyday I will try to visualize peace, not only for myself but for everyone I love, and those living in turmoil.

First, great pictures! I hope we didn't embarrass you too badly. We both love you like a sister, and wanted to do something special, in a special place. It really was a fun evening! I still can't get over how well all of those dogs get along at the Dogbar.
So here's to an even better next part of your life! Who knows what fabulous things may happen?

Sara! Happy Birthday! Now I totally have a good excuse to make you a nice supper on Saturday ;-P Maybe I'll experiment with some baking as well, though I could never come up with an actual birthday cake, so don't hold your breath on it. Remember: you aren't growing older, your ripening to perfection!
